Black Hawk County Health Department COVID-19 Update
At today’s press conference Governor Reynolds announced a proclamation, effective at 5:00 p.m. on August 27, 2020, that puts in place enhanced mitigation efforts, targeting younger populations in high-density areas to curb the spread of the virus. The full proclamation is online in its entirety and substantive information can be found here. The enhanced mitigation efforts will be in place for six counties (Black Hawk, Dallas, Johnson, Linn, Polk, Story), and will include the closure of bars and the limitation of restaurants to not serve alcohol after 10 p.m. The Black Hawk County Health Department held a Facebook live on our Facebook www.facebook.com/blackhawkcountyhealthdepartment at 2pm today to discuss the Governor’s proclamation. It is included in this blog post.
